Diabetes and emotional health: A handbook for health professionals supporting adults with type 1 or type 2 diabetes

Diabetes and emotional health: A handbook for health professionals supporting adults with type 1 or type 2 diabetes is a new resource from the National Diabetes Services Scheme (NDSS)*, developed by the Australian Centre for Behavioural Research in Diabetes (ACBRD). The handbook and toolkit provide health professionals with the strategies and tools to better recognise emotional problems and to work with people with diabetes to reduce the significant psychological burden caused by living with this condition and its relentless management.

Jennifer Halliday, an author of this handbook, will guide the audience through this resource and discuss how to use it in clinical practice. Free printed or electronic copies of the handbook will be made available to attendees of this meeting.
