Advanced Pumping workshop

If you’re a little unsure about how to get the most benefit out of your insulin pump, or would to like to learn more about the features your pump provides, then this hands-on session is for you! The Advanced Pumping workshop will provide key information to help you confidently look after your diabetes.

When you attend this 3 hours education session, you will have the opportunity to connect with other people with type 1 diabetes in your area with similar questions around insulin pumps.

The practical skills session will include:

  • Insulin pump features and adjusting pump settings
  • Bolusing
  • Preventing and managing hypo/hyperglycaemia
  • Sick days
  • Infusion sets
  • Continuous glucose monitoring (CGM)

This program is not suitable for children under the age of 18, however parents are more than welcome to attend. You must bring your pump with you to the workshop.

Advanced Pumping Diabetes WA Workshop

What does it involve?

This workshop is held by credentialled Diabetes WA Educators who know the latest in the quickly evolving field of insulin pumps.

After the session, you will have gained an understanding of how to use the features of your insulin pump as part of your diabetes management. You will receive information material to take home for reference.

Advanced Pumping is a 3 hour workshop.

The Advanced Pumping diabetes workshop is made for people living with type 1 diabetes who use a pump.

Advanced Pumping is a free workshop for NDSS registrants and Diabetes WA members.
