Support Services

The NDSS provides a range of support services to help you, your family and your carers learn more about managing life with diabetes. These support services are administered by Diabetes WA in Western Australia.

These support services are generally provided free or at a minimal cost to people who are registered with the NDSS.

Diabetes WA Information and Advice Line (DIAL) and NDSS

The Diabetes WA Information and Advice Line (DIAL) is for people with diabetes, their carers, health professionals and NDSS Access Points. Along with accessing information and advice on diabetes care, you can use this service to:

  • order NDSS products
  • ask questions about NDSS products
  • learn more about local NDSS and other health services
  • update your details
  • request a replacement NDSS registration card.

NDSS Registration Card and Information Book

After you have been diagnosed with diabetes and you have registered with the NDSS, you will receive a registration card and an information book.

The book is provides general information on NDSS services, products and understanding diabetes.

Group education programs

People registered with the NDSS can attend many Diabetes WA programs free of charge. Find a program that is right for you.

Translated Resources

The NDSS Multicultural Diabetes Portal (external site) has diabetes information translated into 21 languages for culturally and linguistically diverse communities.
